This year, 15 companies and their partners will receive an award at JEC Europe – Composites Show and Conferences (March 11-13, 2014) for their composites innovations.

“With over a hundred submissions from 28 countries, the success of the Innovation Awards Competition is in constant progress. Never have so many high-quality applications been received, making the selection a very rich and complex process. The diversity of the subjects presented by the candidates made it very difficult for the jury of composites experts to select the 15 champions of composites innovations” said Mrs. Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President and CEO.

The jury has selected the best composite breakthroughs, based on their technical interest, market potential, partnerships, financial & environmental impact and originality. The decision to give prominence to these projects was based on their atypical nature and various noteworthy aspects.

In 2014, the winners broach a wide expanse of domains from raw materials to design and processes and, of course, applications. They were selected from the following categories: Design, Simulation, Process, Aeronautics, Aircraft Interiors, Consumer Goods, Consumer Electronics, Medical, Pressure Vessels, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Wind Energy, Sustainability, Railways, Marine.

The JEC Innovation Awards ceremony will highlight 15 innovators on stage and will take place on Tuesday March 11 at 4:45 pm on the JEC Europe Show (Hall 7.3, at the Agora).

The event has been reshaped into a brand new ceremony and will be open to all exhibitors and visitors.

The JEC Innovation Awards Program is sponsored by CYTEC, JEC Composites Magazine, Aviation Week and Innovation & Industrie.
