The package acquired by Chlorum Solutions consists of process tanks, explains Luís Gustavo Rossi, director of Tecniplas. “They are vertical cylindrical tanks with a flat bottom and a curved top. Storage capacities range from 24 m³ to 106 m³”, he details, noting that the tanks were produced over two weeks at the Tecniplas unit in Cabreúva, in the interior of São Paulo.

Due to the typical aggressiveness of the operation in a chlorine plant, all tanks supplied to Chlorum Solutions have a liner and chemical barrier made of vinyl ester resin, a polymer characterized by high chemical resistance. “A certain amount of surplus material was also part of the lamination plan, to further expand the durability of the reservoirs”.

Chlorum Solutions factory in Codó occupies an area of 10,000 m² and has the capacity to produce 12 tons of sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid and caustic soda. “The highlight of its business model is the proximity to large effluent treatment stations, which significantly reduces the cost of transporting the products it manufactures. It became a Tecniplas partner because we share the same quality DNA”, concludes Rossi.
