Zhongfu Shenying Xining’s 25,000 tons per year of high-performance carbon fiber project fully commissioned

Zhongfu Shenying Xining’s 25,000-ton high-performance carbon fiber project ushers western China’s development into a new era and provides continuous impetus for the high-quality economic development of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

The large-scale production of the Zhongfu Shenying Xining Carbon Fiber Project has made positive contributions to the independence, self-reliance and self-improvement of the national materials industry. CNBM will continue to support the development of Zhongfu Shenying and hope that the company will strive to become a leading enterprise in the global carbon fiber industry chain supply chain value chain.”

At this conference, Zhongfu Shenying invited partners from upstream and downstream of the supply chain to gather in Xining to celebrate the commissioning of the project and discuss future development. At the meeting, Zhongfu Shenying signed cooperation agreements with representatives of energy security, raw material supply and other market application fields.

It took Zhongfu Shenying four years to build “the world’s largest single carbon fiber base” on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Zhongfu Shenying will also build a new plant in Lianyungang, in China’s eastern coastal Jiangsu province, where it is headquartered, that can produce 30,000 tons of high-performance carbon fiber a year. Construction is expected to be completed in August 2026.

From “the production base of 25,000 tons of high-performance carbon fiber in Xining fully commissioned” to “the construction of the production base of 30,000 tons of high-performance carbon fiber in Lianyungang”, the strategic deployment of Zhongfu Shenying aims to cover the whole country. In the future, the two main production bases of Zhongfu Shenying will “fly with both wings” from east to west to help further increase the share of Chinese carbon fiber in the global carbon fiber production capacity and make Chinese carbon fiber play a big role in competing in the global market.
